Cross adaptation of lactobacillus paracasei lactic acid bacteria to stress exposure under visible lighting the fermentation medium

Abstraсt: The influence of heat and osmotic shock on the culture Lactobacillus paracasei lactic acid bacteria was studied, adapted to the effect of hydrogen peroxide as an agent of oxidative stress and in conditions of the fermentation broth by visible light illumination. It is shown that the pre-adapted culture of lactic acid bacteria is more resistant to both sublethal temperature values and osmotic shock compared to non-adapted, which indicates the presence of cross-adaptation. The stress-free culture can withstand 1M NaCl at exposure for up to one hour without losing its viability. A stress-resistant culture can withstand exposure for up to 3 hours, while maintaining its viability. The protein profile of cell lysates for stress-resistant cultures of Lactobacillus paracasei showed the presence of a factor with a molecular mass of 54.2 kDa, presumably playing a role in cell stress response.

Cleaning efficiency of the detergent composition components for removal of conservation grease

Abstraсt: Based on the literature data the type of detergent composition was selected to remove contaminants from the metal surfaces of an aircraft engine flow path. Comparative data on the assessment of the cleaning efficiency of the base components produced on the Russian industry, the use of which is possible to develop detergent compositions for cleaning the gas turbine engine flow path, are presented. On the basis of the experiments carried out, the mutual influence of surfactants and butylcellosolve on the efficiency of removing CIATIM-221 grease was established. Examples of the promising basic compositions for cleaning metal surfaces from conservation grease are given.

Keywords: detergent compositions, components of detergent compositions, aircraft engine, cleaning efficiency, surfactants, organic solvent, grease.

Efficiency evaluation of the thermal energy producing at Tarfaya oil shale (western sugar) combustion and using it for both the electricity generation and atlantic ocean water desalination

Abstraсt: The results of the preliminary design calculation for the Tarfaya desalination plant by procedure that allows to compare of distillation and reverse osmosis processes as a part of integrated desalted water & electric power manufacture plant, are presented. The criterion of efficiency of the thermal energy using is the amount of electricity and desalted water produced from the fuel unit; the fraction of effective work of the steam power cycle defined for the desalination process is varied.

Keywords: integrated water-energy complex, thermal power plant, rankine cycle, distillation, reverse osmosis, desalination.

Experimental study of the characteristics of a liquid ring vacuum pump

Abstraсt: The article presents the results of an experimental study of the process of changing the performance of a liquid-ring vacuum pump in relation to the suction pressure. To study this process, as well as to change the temperature of the service fluid at the pump outlet at various pressures in the suction line and check the adequacy of the design model synthesized in the universal modeling program, an experimental unit was developed, this included a saturator, an air flow metering unit and a liquid ring vacuum pump. The results of the experiment were compared with calculations according to the calculation model and known methodologies, which showed similar results in terms of performance change and increase in the temperature of the service fluid at the outlet.

Keywords: liquid-ring vacuum pump, experimental research, universal modeling programs.

Prospects for the application of membrane technologies at various stages of biotechnological processes

Abstraсt: The work is devoted to the main aspects of the membrane separation of producer cells from the cultural fluid using the example of the technology for lactic acid production for biodegradable plastics manufacturing and other products. The schemes of membrane bioreactor with hollow fibers unit and reactors for perfusion are presented. The paper also highlights aspects of the application of ultrafiltration for fractionation of biomolecules by molecular weight. In the context of the modern pandemic, the use of TFF in the perfusion process and for the concentration and purification of virus particles is relevant.

Keywords: biotechnological processes, cell division, membrane technologies.
