In 2019, the academic journal “Chemical Industry Developments” celebrated its 95 years old. Since 1924, the main task of the journal has always been to cover modern problems of chemical technology, catalytic processes, polymer chemistry and methods of their processing, methods for simulating and design of processes and equipment for the chemical industry.
The first issue of the journal was published on December 14, 1924. The editorial board ended the preface with the following words: “Our common goal is to create an scientifically-based, solid, independent chemical industry, which is necessary for the economic and political power of our state.” After 95 years, the goals are the same.
